He's Back.

Before the Black Bird, before the Captain, before everything — there was Mr Sparkle. The first. The original. The visual that launched everything at Capu Mattu. A blackbird, mean as hell, with a bomb in his hand and a flame in his eye. Cartoonish and dangerous. Funny and formidable. Exactly like the men who painted the fuselages.

Because that's where it all begins. In the dusty hangars of Allied bases, anonymous soldiers — amateur painters, makeshift illustrators, accidental artists — transformed the fuselages of their planes and armored vehicles into impromptu art galleries. Not for decoration. To exist. To ward off fear. To leave a mark on the steel before going into battle.

These characters — cartoons, ferocious animals, improbable creatures — had a face, a nickname, a story. They were the soul of the regiment painted on the war machine. They were found on the B-17s bombing the Normandy coast on the night of June 5th. On the tanks advancing towards Omaha Beach at dawn. On the jeeps crossing the hedgerows of the bocage. Wherever there was steel, there was art.

Mr Sparkle is this tribute.

The Print & Stitch patch on the back — printed, overlocked, and hand-stitched in our workshops — places the visual like a commemorative plaque on a fuselage. Next to it, printed directly on the coral pink fabric, Mr Sparkle in its raw version — black, sharp, iconic.

On the front, the circular Capu Mattu logo — discreet, for those who recognize it.
